Shiro / Kuro aims to bring together artists whose abstract work revolves around the energy of gesture, the preponderant role of presence in the creative act, and the place given to emptiness in their work.
Energy
How the movement of the body generates a line of energy, trace of the gesture.
How the action of the forces of nature, contraction, outcropping, imprints the line of telluric movement in the earth's matter.
Void
How the creative breath seeps through the void.
How the white and the unoccupied constitute the work as much as the full.
Presence
How the work emerges from the moment of the artist's full physical and mental presence.
How it owes its strength to the instantaneous event of its conception.
La revue Shiro / Kuro a vocation à rassembler des artistes dont le travail abstrait s'articule autour de l'énergie du geste, du rôle prépondérant de la présence dans l'acte créatif, et de la place donnée au vide dans l'œuvre.
Énergie
Comme le mouvement du corps génère une ligne d’énergie, trace du geste.
Comme l'action des forces de la nature, contraction, affleurement, imprime dans la matière terrestre le trait du mouvement tellurique.
Vide
Comme le souffle créatif s'infiltre à travers le vide.
Comme le blanc et l'inoccupé constituent l'œuvre à l'égal du plein.
Présence
Comme l'œuvre émerge du moment de pleine présence physique et mentale de l'artiste.
Comme elle doit sa force à l'évènement instantané de sa conception.
